Built on clinical experience
Alamou Health Group was founded by a physician who spent nearly eight years in hospital practice in northern Benin, first in emergency medicine and then in general surgery.
Public health was already part of that work. Training in epidemiology came next, followed by work in US city health departments, from the COVID-19 response to HIV surveillance and care outcomes research.
That background shapes how we work. We know what a lab value or a missed appointment means for a patient. We plan data collection around what a busy clinic can actually record, and we read results with the patient's path through care in mind, from the first visit to follow-up.
